While designing an adjacent project, the Tridec Services designer realized that it could be an opportune time for council to beautify the Main Street / Mordialloc Creek area.

The Kingston City Council was approached with a feasibility plan to underground the overhead power lines and poles. The streetscape improvements were assessed, as were the potential cost savings if the proposed project was undertaken at the same time as the adjacent project. Council quickly pounced on the opportunity and approved the project, which was also eligible for funding by the Powerline Relocation Committee.
